The Makói Csípős project involved a complete overhaul of a local news portal in Makó. The original site had become slow and unusable, so I took on the task of redesigning the entire website. After migrating over 2000 blog posts, the real work could begin. My goal was to create something completely new, ensuring that my site would not resemble the original website in any way. I believe I achieved this goal, as both the owner and the editor-in-chief of the newspaper expressed their approval. Essentially, I created a mega-blog site with hundreds of categories and thousands of members. The tasteful design and user-friendly, mobile-friendly functionality helped the site achieve a 30% increase in readership after launch, which it has maintained ever since. Naturally, there is space for sponsors and Google ads, which are not intrusive but still noticeable compared to its predecessor. Since then, the site has undergone several updates by other developers, but the screenshot below still reflects 100% of my work.
